Happy Holi

What is Holi? Holi is an Indian festival celebrated to enjoy different colours of life, it also marks the start of Spring along with triumph of good over evil.

But then, as we say, each and every phase of life have different opinions from different people. Nowadays, people have started considering holi as a festival where you can just put on coloured powders, paste, water on anyone, and tell them, "Bura na mano, Holi hai".

Every person wants to colour others and when it comes to themselves, they'll try to run away or hide somewhere. Is it fair? When you have the courage to do so with others, have the courage to face for yourself as well. Here, comes the defending technique. Let the colours pour out from both the sides and then try to save yourself.

By now, most of you would have thought that I am an anti-holi type person, but that is not true. Yes, I don't like playing with powders and pastes because those are not nature-friendly and sometimes even allergic to the skin. Moreover, after all this colouring, spend hours in cleaning yourself and your home as well which will obviously, wastewater in a very large quantity and we are already in scarce of it, but let us not move to that point. I consider, a small "TILAK" and a warm hug with good wishes is good enough to show your colourful and hearty feelings to others.

Holi is a colourful festival and different colours hold their own significance. Let us have a look at them:

Red: joy, love, energy, power, sensitivity
Pink: romance, love, friendship
Yellow: happiness, intellect, joy, sunshine, cheerful
Orange: enthusiasm, fascination, happiness, creativity, determination, success
Green: nature, harmony, growth
Blue: trust, loyalty, confidence, truth

There are several more colours than mentioned and each one of them has their own importance. The objective here was not to remember them but to bring in the light that they all represents some good qualities that a human being should possess. So, in place of colouring and painting others with just artificial colours, show them the colour of good qualities and paint them with the same. Enjoy the festival to the most and let the good win over evil.

Wish you and your family a very Happy and Colorful Holi with a jaadu ki jhappi.

Keep smiling and believe in yourself 😊
