Aisa bhi na socha tha

Khafa toh na the hum aapse,
Par kuch yun rooth jayenge aap,
Aisa bhi na socha tha.

Kasamon ko nibhayenge hum humesha,
Par kuch yun vade tod denge aap,
Aisa bhi na socha tha.

Umr bhar ka safar hai, socha ye humne,
Par kuch yun sath chod denge aap,
Aisa bhi na socha tha.

Hum to lekr chale the aapke liye, jaan apni hatheli par,
Par kuch yun katl kar denge aap,
Aisa bhi na socha tha.

Ae, jaane wale, ab toh sach byaan kr jata,
Par kuch mithe jhoot bol denge aap,
Aisa bhi na socha tha.

    Nice attempt. My personal view is that पदय becomes impressive only when it exactly rhymes or else it looks better with गद्य only.

    Please don't take it to heart keep trying writing is more difficult than speaking . It only improves with practise.

    Attempting Gazal kind of thing at this age sounds wonderful.
